The descriptions of the end times and the expectation of the Messiah and redemption have accompanied the Jewish people since ancient times, and form the foundation for the Christian Messianic story. In this course we will examine the central place of the Galilee in the process of redemption, as it is reflected in the ancient Jewish and Christian traditions. We will deal with the image of the Messiah and the anti-Messiah and the events of the end times and examine their geographical, historical and literary connection to the Galilee space, while studying a variety of sources from the Jewish and Christian apocalyptic literature.
