Hundreds and thousands of years after they were built, abandoned or destroyed, archeological remains are revealed that tell the story of the different ethnic communities and cultures that operated in the country. But from the moment they are exposed they are vulnerable and threatened by natural and human damage, accelerated development processes, pollution, population growth, tourism pressures and uncontrolled development activities. So how do you still preserve the ancient remains? How do you complete or restore missing parts? And how do you replace worn stones? This series of lectures "goes out" behind the scenes of the conservation and restoration work that is being carried out at important archeological sites around the country such as Caesarea, Beit She'an, Herodium and other places. We will hear about the "professional secrets" of the conservationists, we will understand how they perform the work and we will take a closer look at the sites before works were carried out on them and the result of the conservation works on the sites.
