On this day we will deal with the Jewish Galilee of the first century AD, and understanding Jewish society.
We will deal with the teaching of the Sages, the beginning of the Oral Torah and it appears from the New Testament and from the literature of the Sages the parallels. Issues like light and material, Sabbath observance and more will be just some of the topics we will be dealing with on this day.
We will see how Jewish worldviews and Jewish behaviors were expressed in the New Testament scriptures and the various parables mentioned therein.
We will see how the New Testament figure of the Pharisee Jewish Jesus emerges.
